IC: the ground soaked with blood... bits and pieces lie strewn across the battlefield... the scavenger birds fight over the entrails of the fallen enemy... howls of victory can be heard to the furthest cornors of the Lunar Empire...Gloomfang and his clan stalking from the gore strewn meadow...

a lone wolf sniffs the area... she has caught a scent... crystal blue eys clouded with madness search the edge of the vardent forest...

she shakes her delicate head... and with the stealth of a stalking panther glides to the edge of the meadow... silently she circles the two who thought to hide from the war and escape unscathed... without a warning she leaps... crushing the spine of her first victim... leaving him writhing paralized yet alive... with a mighty swipe of her dagger like claws the head rolls from the second... she sniffs the head... a perpetual cry of horror frozen on it's face... she takes the eyes and delicately savors them... remembering she turns back to the frst Vampire... and with a spark of hunger approaches... she's tired of this game and with a single stomp of her heel crushes his skull,,, also taking the eyes these are for her love Gloomfang...

The Lady sniffs the air searching.. satisfied her work is done she lopes to catch up to the war party... a smile on her face and a gleem of madness in her eyes...

IC: The stench of death pervades the dungeons as the Devourer stalks in between the cages and the cells, past the iron maidens and spike pits. A trail of slimy drool is left behind him as he contemplate the sweetness of the spoils of war. More than one slave, driven half-insane by the prospect of being devoured, cringes and gibbers as he passes by.

And then he sees his lady in the writhing light, proffering the jewel-like orbs, the crazed cold fire in her eyes an inverted reflection of the hot coals in the braziers that line the periphery of the torturer niches. "For you my lord," she says, her voice an evil concoction of poisoned honey.

The Lord of Tower Crag exults in the wails of despair from the slaves as they recognize the gifts for what they are, a portent of their own evil fate.

A languorous savoring and swallowing and the jewels disappear. Gloomfang stares at their bearer with evil abandon. "My thanks, my love," he growls. "A taste of the slaughter to come. Kill for Gloomfang! Rend and eat your fill, for your destiny is irreversible. The Crawling Chaos has willed it!"

OOC: This ought to serve as an inspiration for anyone who is wondering if properly balanced stats and equipment are worth the trouble. Well done, LA!
